A solar camera power enclosure, configured to the job
There is no model lineup to decode. One enclosure platform carries the options, and every unit ships configured for its site: solar sized to the load and latitude, battery sized to the winter, uplink matched to the coverage. It powers the cloud-direct cameras you already sell; we do not sell cameras.
It runs the system your client already has
No camera lock-in and no platform of ours to adopt. If the camera talks to its cloud over the network, it runs from this enclosure's PoE, whatever the brand on the housing. That turns every existing account with a dead corner into a quote instead of an apology.
How it is built
The inside is the product. Components mount on DIN rail behind breakers, not inline fuses buried in loom. Conductors are labeled at both ends. Terminations are torqued and marked. When the door opens for service in February, the tech sees a panel, not a project.
Why the battery heats itself
Charging lithium below freezing destroys it, which is how most DIY solar boxes die their second winter. The LiFePO4 pack in this enclosure is self-heating and carries two layers of protection, a low-temperature cutoff and a low-voltage cutoff. When conditions go out of range, the battery protects itself first, and the telemetry tells you it happened.
How many days without sun?
The honest answer depends on your load and your latitude, which is why we do not print one number for every site. The base configuration's autonomy rating is in the table below; your configured quote carries the number for your job, computed for your location's worst week.
Proven on the bench before it ships
Every unit is tested against the worst solar day of the year for its destination: bench panels set to your site's December input, a simulated load standing in for your cameras. The test does not extend lead time. If a configuration cannot hold your load through your winter, we say so before you quote, not after you install.
Configuration options
- Solar array size, matched to load and latitude
- Battery capacity, sized for autonomy through the worst month
- Uplink: cellular modem or Starlink
- PoE port count and power budget for your camera plan
- AC charge input where shore power or a generator visits the site
